For her high school senior dissertation, MyLynda started a magazine directed toward the teenage audience. She titled the magazine: The BLURBE. Four years after graduating from Michelle Obama's alma mater Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in Chicago, she graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia with a bachelor's degree in journalism focused in magazine publishing and management. She also minored in social justice while receiving a multicultural studies certificate at Mizzou.
MyLynda is just a girl from the south side of Chicago, Illinois with a vision that she can do it all and do it very well. When she isn't writing stories for publications, including her own magazine, she is shipping orders for her cosmetics company, About Face, or running her work-from-home call center, On Behalf Of. She is also partnering with libraries and book drives to attain supplies for the literacy program she's starting in the neighborhood that taught her nearly everything she knows.
MyLynda believes in giving back to her community in any way she can think of. Outside of her daily work activities, MyLynda is an ordained minister, a practicing photographer, a website designer, a tutor, a Boys and Girls Club mentor, and an avid golfer.
